Mollie Cross (Plainview)

Mollie L. Cross, 98, of Plainview, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010 at Runningwater Draw Care Center in Olton. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at First Baptist Church Family Life Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Cross was born on January 14, 1912 in Swink, Oklahoma to the late John Lewis and Eliza Julia Hyde. She married W.L. Cross on May 14, 1931 in Nolan County, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1967. Mrs. Cross was a member of First Baptist Church and Eastmound Home Demonstration Club. She is survived by three daughters: Cleta and husband Kenneth Duckett of Plainview, Virginia and husband W. Paul Butler of Brownwood and Betty Love of Odessa; six grandchildren: Martin Duckett of Plainview, Kenna Duckett Hatch of Plainview, Paula Butler Lusk of Plainview, William Boyd Butler of Lubbock, William Overton Love of Odessa, Matthew Connally Butler of San Antonio; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents John Lewis and Eliza Julia Hyde.
