Rebecca “Becky” Milstead Cook, 28, of Hale Center, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Plainview with Rev. Robert Malcom, pastor of Western Heritage Fellowship in Hale Center officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. A visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Becky was born on May 24, 1982 in Plainview to David and Annette Milstead. She grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview Christian Academy in 2000. She then attended Wayland Baptist University. She was a homemaker and Volunteer Fire Fighter for the Hale Center Fire Department. She worked at Milstead’s Hardware for her family while growing up. She was a member of the Western Heritage Fellowship in Hale Center. She married Dustin Cook on August 1, 2009 in Hale Center. Survivors include her husband, Dustin Cook of Hale Center; two sons, Kagen Karl Ashley of White River Lake, Kelby Shawn Cook of Hale Center; a daughter, Kendrie Elizabeth Milstead of Hale Center; a step-son, Javan Cook of North Carolina; her parents, David and Annette Milstead of Plainview; two sisters, DeLisa Kelm of Plainview, Sierra Freeman of Plainview; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Betty Green of Plainview; and her Father and Mother-In-Law, Clarence and Shirley Cook of Plainview.
