Billye Kesler(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Billye Kesler, 79, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Central Church of Christ in Tulia with Bruce Baird officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the funeral home. Billye was born February 24, 1931 in Tulia. She grew up here and married Frank Kesler. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. She worked for 30 years as a Texas Veterans Administrator. Mr. Kesler died in 1983. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Lee and Connie Kesler of Canyon and Justin and Jeannie Kesler of Beeville, one sister: Eva Jewel Schiller of Las Cruces, New Mexico, five grandchildren: Sean Kesler and wife Jane of Roundrock, Dawn Dillard and husband Shane of McKinney, Lance Kesler of Roundrock, Christopher Kesler of Amarillo and Tyson Kesler and wife Carrie of Amarillo, five great grandchildren: Aurora Kesler and Calvin Kesler, both of Roundrock, D’Lee Dillard and Davin Dillard, both of McKinney and Durden Kesler of Amarillo. She is preceded in death by her parents: O. W. and Louise B. Hancock, two brothers: Robert Hancock and Walton Hancock.
