Tulia, Texas—Danny McCaslin, 58, died Monday, January 17, 2011 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 21, 2011 in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Rusty Gray, pastor of Tulia Christian Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Daniel Wayne McCaslin was born May 31, 1952 in Tulia. He grew up here and attended schools here. He married Shirley Edwards on May 1, 1982. He was a member of Tulia Christian Fellowship Church. Survivors include his wife: Shirley McCaslin of Tulia, one son: Dennis McCaslin and wife Jenni of Tulia, three daughters: Cynthia Harris and husband Kevin of Tulia, Charlotte Smith and husband Jay of Tulia, Stephanie Yarber of Mustang, OK, one brother: David McCaslin and wife Laurie of Rye, CO, three sisters: Diane McCaslin of Odessa, Donna Robertson and husband Danny of Midland, Amanda Williams and husband Monte of New Braunfels, two step-sisters: Connie Perkins and husband Jim of Amarillo, Rita Hayhurst and husband Kenny of Amarillo, his mother: Betty Nall of Tulia, his step-mother: Becky McCaslin of Tulia, 13 grandchildren, four brothers-in-law: James Edwards of Roland, OK, Jeff Edwards of Tulsa, OK, Christopher Lushbough of Fletcher, OK and Ernie Lushbough of Cash, OK, four sisters-in-law: Rene Clark of Muldrow, OK, Janice Edwards of Muldrow, OK, Janet Kay Edwards of Oklahoma City, OK and Joyce Maerz of Mesa, AZ, his mother-in-law: Joyce Menely of Muldrow, OK, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Pearl and Burt Jackson and K.I. and Myrtle McCaslin, his father: Billy McCaslin, one sister: Sherry McCaslin and one brother: Mike McCaslin.
