Shirley Kay McAnelly (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas--Shirley Kay McAnelly, 59, of Austin, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in Rockwall in the presence of her two children. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2007 in the First Baptist Church in Tulia with Rev. James Hassell, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at Kornerstone from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Shirley was born April 12, 1947 in Tulia to J.W. and Louise Rowell. Shirley was a resident of Austin for 35 years and was employed by Dell Computers in customer care. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church Leander. She is survived by her son; Jay McAnelly and wife Jessica of San Antonio, her daughter; Shelley Brown and husband Chris of Rockwall, five grandchildren; Katie, Brooke, Will, Ryann and Jake. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister; Joy Reed.
