Delfina Macias Ortega(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas--Delfina Macias Ortega, 71, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in Houston. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 in the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Marcos Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M. Friday, February 11, 2011 at the funeral home. Delfina was born December 24, 1939 in Karnes City, Texas. She moved to Tulia in the Early 1960's. She was a custodian for the Tulia Public Schools for several years. She was a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit and the Guadalupanas. Survivors include one daughter: Raquel Ortega of Houston, four sons: Felipe Ortega of James, Missouri, Robert Ortega of Sealy, Texas, Jesse Ortega of San Antonio, Texas and Adan Ortega of Houston, Texas, one sister: Julia Beltran of Florida, one brother: Willie Macias of Tulia, 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
