Oda P. Collins, 88, formerly of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011 in Odessa. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2011 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 4:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Oda was born on February 16, 1923 in Lindsey, Oklahoma to W.A. and Fannie Perry. She grew up and attended school in Lindsey. She moved to Plainview in 1941. She married James Oace Langston on November 23, 1943 in Plainview. He died on December 2, 1961. She married Raymond Collins on April 7, 1972 and moved to Lubbock. He died on November 27, 2004. She moved to Snyder in 1983 and to Odessa in 2004. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family. She is survived by one daughter: Sue Criss of Odessa; two sons: Mack Langston and wife Barbara of Odessa, and Dale Langston and wife Linda of Odessa; two brothers: Arnold Perry and wife Lenora of Tulia, and Jimmy L. Perry of Plainview; one sister: Jenett White of Plainview; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: James Langston, husband: Raymond Collins, one son: Jerry Don Langston; three brothers: George A. Perry, William S. Perry and Davis Perry; three sisters: Mallie Elizabeth Cate, Geneva Sloan, and Pearl Wilheim; and one great grandchild Labri McMurrian. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
