Tulia, Texas—Bill Cypert, 85, died Friday, March 18, 2011 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church in Plainview with Rev. Gerald Petsch, pastor of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tulia officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Bill was born March 17, 1926 in McAdoo, Texas. He graduated from McAdoo High School and served in the US Army during WWII and Korea. He returned to McAdoo after his discharge. He married Phoebe Clark in 1952. They moved to Hale County and farmed for several years. They moved to Crosbyton in 1989 and then to Tulia in 2003. He was a member of the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tulia. He is survived by his wife: Phoebe Cypert of Tulia, two daughters and sons-in-law: Sue and Ricky James of Plainview and Vicki and Johnny Webb of Plainview, two sons and daughters-in-law: Larry and Debbie Cypert of Amarillo and Paul and D’Ann Cypert of Plainview, nine grandchildren: Jennifer Ragland, Lyndsie Craig, Lori Sinclair, Ryan James, Dallas Cypert, Amanda Sneed, Kristen Wright, Jason Webb and Nathan Webb and fourteen great grandchildren: Taylor and Asher Sinclair, Caleb, Hanna, Lily and Nathan Craig, Bella Rose and Genevie Ragland, Jaxon, Harper and Trinity Wright, Rylee and Jess Webb and Ethan Cypert. He is preceded in death by one brother: Lemoyne Cypert. Memorials may be given to the McAdoo Cemetery Association, Rt. 1, Box 127,McAdoo, Texas 79243 or to the Children of Promise Missionaries Fund @ Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 700 S. Austin, Tulia, TX 79088.
