Frank Curry, 74 of Plainview passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Covenant Hospital in Plainview. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2007 at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Horace Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Curry was born on Sept. 4, 1932 in Plainview. He grew up and attended schools in Plainview. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1951. During high school, he worked at Thatcher Printing (known as Eaton Craig Stationary and Printing Company today). He joined the U.S. Army and served as a MP in Germany. After his service to his country, he returned home and resumed his job at the Printing Company. He worked for them for 30 plus years. He also served as Justice of the Peace for Hale County Precinct 2 for 10 years. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Melody Sunday School class where he served as President, the Plainview Rotary Club, and Civil Air Patrol. He was also a member of VFW, American Legion, and Texas Association of Justices of the Peace. He was also a past board member of the Red Cross. He married Jeanette Robertson on January 30, 1961 in Plainview. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt and Ruby Curry and two brothers, Hoyt Curry Jr. and Glenn Houston Curry. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Curry of Plainview; three sons and daughters-in-law, Laton and Rose Curry of Plainview, Keith Curry of Galveston, Steven and Sheri Curry of Yokosuka, Japan; one brother, William C. Curry and his wife Sylvia of Seminole; three grandchildren, Matthew J Curry of Plainview, Jessica Curry and Tucker Curry of Japan; and a close friend, Marvin Grenier of Galveston. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2007 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
