Donna Walker, 88, of Plainview passed away at Covenant Hospital Plainview. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Ed Hance and Colquitt Nash officiating. Interment will be in Plainview Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Walker was born on February 24, 1919 in Wellington to John and Sally Duckworth. She went to high school in Plainview and graduated from Lubbock High School. She graduated from Texas Tech in 1941 with a degree in Home Economics. Mrs. Walker taught school for a few years and later was the Floyd County Extension agent in Floydada. She married Bruce Walker on July 5, 1946 in Lubbock. They lived all of their 61 years of marriage in Plainview. She was a member of the Delta Delphin Club for many years and also a member of the Knife and Fork Club. She was a member of 9th & Columbia Church of Christ. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents: John and Sally Duckworth; one sister: Vivian Armontrout and two brothers: Kenneth Duckworth and Kermit Duckworth. She is survived by her husband Bruce Walker; One daughter: Carolyn Hance and husband Ed of Southlake; Two sons: Ron Walker and wife Sue Gabel of Boise, Idaho, John Dee Walker and wife Tara of Plainview; Seven Grandchildren: Zachary Walker of Boise, Idaho, Sarah Reese and husband Isaac of Boise, Idaho, Jennifer Hance of Houston, Jonathan Hance of Los Angeles, California, Robert Hance and wife Lauren of Houston, Kayla Voss and husband Dax of Lubbock and Jana Walker of Lubbock; Two Great Grandchildren: Xavier Reese and Hope Reese of Boise, Idaho and many nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
