James W Brazele (Plainview)

James W. Brazele, 89, died Friday, May 4, 2007 in Ft. Worth. Mr. Brazele was born in Plainview in March 12, 1918 to J. M. and Minnie B. Hall Brazele. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1937. James farmed with his parents until WW II and served in the Army Air Force. After being released he returned to Plainview and married LaVerne K. Thurman in Lubbock, May 11, 1946. The Brazele’s farmed west of Plainview until James retired in 1980. He moved to Decator in May of 2006 to be near family. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Elks Lodge and American Legion. Survivors include his wife, two daughters Susan Boswell & husband Roger of Decator, Jennie Huddelston & husband Billy of Duncan, Oklahoma; one granddaughter; four great grandchildren. A visitation will be held for family and friends at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Monday, May 7, 2007, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. A private graveside will be held Tuesday by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
