Tulia, Texas—Eula Marie Breitling, or “Mimi” as she was known to her family and friends came into this world on September 29, 1920, she passed from this life surrounded by her loved ones on April 13, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Davenport, Mr. Bruce Baird and Mr. Bob Colson, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the funeral home. Marie was born in Azle, Texas to Simon and Jean O’Donald. She had nine siblings who all preceded her in death. Marie married Eston Breitling on December 21, 1940 in Hereford, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2000 after fifty-nine years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by an infant grandson, Cody Carlisle in 1974. They had one daughter, Kathy Carlisle and husband Buttons of Tulia. She also had three beautiful granddaughters who were the love of her life, they are: Amie Carlisle of Argyle, TX, Amanda Langley of Marble Falls, TX and Anna Kate Nobile of Tulia, TX. She had two grandsons-in-law, Jace Nobile of Tulia and Todd Langley of Marble Falls. She was also blessed with six great grandchildren: Ashley of Argyle, Kamri and Coda of Marble Falls, Audry, Colton and Kadi Jai of Tulia. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well. The family suggests memorials be made to the High Plains Children’s Home, PO Box 7448, Amarillo, TX 79114 or to the Tulia Cemetery Association, PO Box 116, Tulia, TX 79088.
