Balbina (Bobbie) Hernandez, 61, of Hale Center, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Hale Center, with Father John Smith, officiating. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, April 19, 2011, 6:30 p.m., at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Hernandez was born on April 18, 1950 in Hale Center, Texas to Antonio and Alice Garcia. She attended school in Hale Center. She was a homemaker and devoted much of her time to her family. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her mother; one brother, Antonio Garcia, Jr.; one sister, Isabel Castillo; and one grandson Kevin Flowers, Jr. Survivors include her four daughters: April Tillmon, June Saucedo, Augusta Saucedo all of Amarillo, and Estrella Hernandez of Hale Center; one son: Marc-Anthony Saucedo of Hale Center; five brothers: Robert Garcia of Houston, Daniel Garcia of Mercedes, George Garcia, Benito Garcia and Greg Garcia all of Amarillo; two sisters: Ophelia Castillo of Phoenix, AZ, and Sabina Ramos of Amarillo; her father: Antonio Garcia, Sr. of Hale Center; nine grandchildren; and her partner, Ralph DeAses and his daughter Amanda DeAses.
