Nazareth, Texas—Juanita Schacher, 73, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2007 in Amarillo. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007 in the Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Ken Keller, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Prayer vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2007 in the church. She was born July 14, 1933 in Nazareth to A.P. and Elizabeth Hoelting. She lived in San Antonio and then to Amarillo before moving to Nazareth where she graduated from high school. She married Edwin Schacher on November 24, 1954 in Nazareth. She was a homemaker and enjoyed painting, ceramics and decorating. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Edwin Schacher of Nazareth, three daughters; Janice Allison and husband Roger of Orange, Wanda Huseman and husband Bernie of Hereford, and Joyce Kleman and husband Gerry of Abernathy, three sons; Darryl Schacher of Amarillo, Dean Schacher and wife Dawn of Canyon, and Kyle Schacher of Amarillo, one brother; Clyde Hoelting of Nazareth, two sisters; Dolores Detten of Amarillo, and Charlene Venhaus of Amarillo, and 8 grandchildren.
