Willa Dean Rushing Coleman, 75, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in Plainview after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 2, 2011 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Scott Baucum officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Following the funeral service the family will gather at 1800 Ennis Street for a visitation. Visitation will be Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mrs. Coleman was born to Wilburn and Jequita Rushing on May 11, 1936 in Blue Ridge, Texas. She graduated high school from Lockney High School with honors in 1954. She married Bob Coleman on April 16, 1954, they both moved to Plainview, Texas where they worked and raised their family. Willa worked for Hale County Abstract, Neil Williams Oil and Butane, Denzil McMillan Accounting firm, Williams and Meriwether Accounting firm, and T&J Auto. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Jequita Rushing; her sister Ann Watts; and three grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Bob Coleman of 57 years; two daughters Melissa Baucum and husband Scott of St. Louis, MO, Melanie Coleman of Lubbock, TX; one son Robert Coleman and wife Tracy of Plainview, TX; one brother Jimmy Rushing of Plainview, TX; thirteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
