Elsie Lucille Ballard (Plainview)

Lucille Ballard, 82, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2011 in Plainview. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Jack Stone of Muleshoe, Texas officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held Friday, April 29, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Lucille Ballard was born to Ben and Drucilla Adams on February 10, 1929 in Minco, Oklahoma, and attended schools there. She married Melton Ballard on February 22, 1945 in Hollis, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and member of Southside Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melton Ballard in 2006; and sister, Olga Yates. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Gould and husband Larry of Plainview, TX, Rida Cate and husband James of Plainview, TX, Sandy Eden and husband Jacky of Plainview, TX; two sons, Franklin Lee Ballard and wife Cathy of Houston, TX, Freddy Ray Ballard and wife Linda of Houston, TX; three brothers, Roy Adams of Casa Grande, AZ, James Adams of Porter, TX, Cleo Adams of Hamilton, TX; three sisters, Margaret Sherwood of Oak Harbor, WA, Lois Lightfoot of Graham, TX, Freda Bryant of Lubbock, TX; 15 Grandchildren, 36 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great Great Grandchildren .
