Harold Berner(Tulia)

Kress, Texas—Harold Berner, 77, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 13, 2011 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia with Rev. Gerald Petsch, pastor of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tulia officiating. Burial will follow in Kress Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Harold was born June 10, 1933 in Tulia to Carl Henry and Florence Minnie Berner. He attended schools at Kress. He was a farmer and a member of the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tulia. He married Mary Helen Gay on September 14, 1952 in Tulia. He is survived by his wife: Mary Berner of Kress, five daughters and sons-in-law: Rhonda and Ronny Gibbs of Amarillo, Cindy Storrs-Boston and Felix Boston of Walnut Creek, California, Patricia and Sammy Ward of Andrews, Melanie and Ron Belyeu of Hale Center and Darlene and Patt Terrell of Plainview, one brother: Richard Carl Berner of Apex, North Carolina, one sister: Noretta Adrian of Lubbock, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister Edna Schumacher, two brothers: Everett Berner and Roy Lee Berner, one son: Kenneth Edward Berner and one grandson: Jacob Storrs.
