Ellene Stephens(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Ellene Stephens, 86, of Waterloo, Alabama, formerly of Tulia and Happy, Texas, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in Waterloo, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Central Church of Christ in Tulia with Mr. Bruce Baird, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Ellene Stephens was born in Oklahoma on August 3, 1924 to Mabel and Silas Chrismon. She was a beautician. Survivors include one daughter: Patricia Marshall, five sons: Randall Stephens and wife Kathy, David Stephens, Rodney Stephens, Douglas Trent Stephens and William Todd Stephens, one brother: Kenneth Chrismon, 9 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband: William D.T. Stephens and a daughter: Janice Stephens. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Friday at Morrison Funeral Homes in Florence, Alabama. Her body will arrive Saturday, in Tulia and viewing will be held at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia until service time.
