Wayne Pearson(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Wayne Pearson, 80, died, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be held at 9:45 am Monday, June 6, 2011 in the Happy Cemetery in Happy, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM Monday, June 6, 2011 in the First Baptist Church of Tulia with Rev. Charles Davenport officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 pm Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the funeral home. Wayne was born October 14, 1930 in Amarillo. He lived in Swisher County all his life. He graduated from Happy High School and attended Texas Tech for one year. He married Billie Eubanks on August 27, 1950 in Happy. He was a farmer and rancher all his life. He was a member of the Happy Rodeo club, First Baptist Church in Tulia and he was a Mason. He is preceded in death by his parents: Lee and Carrie Pearson and one sister: Estalee Knight. He is survived by his wife: Billie Pearson of Tulia, four sons and daughters-in-law: Greg and Karron Pearson of Midland, Bill and Terri Pearson of Happy, Chris and Pam Pearson of Amarillo and Eddie Joe and Lynn Pearson of Happy, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Happy Volunteer Fire Dept., the Tulia Volunteer Fire Dept. or the Senior Citizens of Tulia.
