Billy Frank “Frankie” Walker, 64, of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2011 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with, Rev. Matt Baird of First Baptist Church in Hart officiating and Mr. Fred Willis of Plainview assisting. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Frankie was born on September 20, 1946 in Plainview to Dale and Jean Walker. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1965. He then attended Texas Tech University for several years before going to Southwest Business College. They moved to Jasper, Alabama for two years where he worked as a court reporter. They moved back to Plainview where he partnered with his father in Walker Drilling. He owned and operated the business for many years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and he absolutely loved being a Papa and Granpa Monkey to his grandchildren and an Uncle Monk to his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Jean Walker and one sister, Delta Jean Walker Smith. He is survived by wife, Nancy Walker of the home; one daughter, Tiffany Walling and her husband, Drew of Flower Mound, Texas; one son, Bryan Walker and his wife Wendy of Frisco, Texas; four grandchildren, Matthew Walling, Gracen Walling, Evan Wakefield, Abby Walker; and one sister, Tammy Michele Devin-Molina of Bulgaria.
