Rosaline Clark(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas-Rosaline Clark, 96, of Tulia, died Friday, July 22, 2011 in Tulia. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 25, 2011 in the Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock, Texas with Rev. Oscar Chavez, Area Community Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Rosaline was born June 12, 1915 in Forestburg, Texas to Joseph and Nova Mars Box. She grew up in Forestburg until the age of 13 when she moved to Wheeler Co. to live with her aunt and uncle, Drew and Eva Mars. She married William Daily “Dutch” Clark in 1930 in Sayer, Oklahoma. They farmed in Wheeler Co. for several years before moving into Shamrock, TX in 1947. She worked in different retail stores for several years. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Shamrock and Tulia and a member of the Rebecca Lodge. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Dutch Clark died in 1987, one cousin: Orlieu Mars Howard, her twin daughters: Betty Jo and Billie Jean Clark. She is survived by her son: David Clark of Tulia, three grandchildren: Konnie Washington of Tulia, Vicky Patton of Tulia, and Brent Clark of Amarillo, nine great grandchildren and one great, great grandson.
