Billy Todd (Plainview)

Billy Todd, 74, of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at his home. Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church Chapel in Plainview, Texas with Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating and Dr. Max Browning assisting. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Billy was born on December 31, 1936 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to Rudolph and Muriel Todd. He grew up and attended schools in Plainview. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard for several years. He was a farmer and farmed in the area for over 50 years. He retired in 2001 from farming to spend more time with his family. He also loved to fish and hunt. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Plainview. He married Kay Ellis on December 17, 1955 in Clovis, New Mexico. Billy was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amy Nicole Whisenant Clark; a brother, Gary Lynn Todd, and his parents. He is survived by his wife Kay Ellis Todd of the home; daughter, Kathy Whisenant and her husband Kevin of Plainview; grandson, Kory Clark of Amarillo; great granddaughter, Avery Clark of Amarillo; two sisters, Barbara June Taylor of Amarillo and Donna Kay Smith of Boomville, Arkansas; and several Nieces and Nephews.
