Viola Marie Simpson (Plainview)

Funeral services for Viola Marie Simpson, 89, of Plainview, Texas will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the First Assembly of God, Plainview, Texas with Rev. Neil Unwin, former pastor officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Simpson passed away Monday, June 18, 2007 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Viola was born October 2, 1917 in Paducah, Texas to Willis and Mattie Allen. She grew up in the Levelland area. She married Frank Dean Simpson in 1935 in Levelland. They moved to Plainview in 1963. In 1975, they started Simpson’s Motor Company in Plainview. She was a member of the First Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 2001. Survivors include a daughter, Melba Gregory and husband Wayne of Proctor; two sons, Dale Simpson and wife Sally of Plainview, Edon Simpson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Sharon Withrow of Levelland; 6 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren.
