Lida Jearl Hodges (Plainview)

Lida Jearl Hodges 94, of Plainview, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 18, 2011 at First Assembly of God in Plainview, with Rev. Neil Unwin officiating and Rev. Manuel Rodriguez assisting. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Jearl was born on December 24, 1916 to William and Mandy Maddox in Clinton, Arkansas. She married Paul Lee Hodges on October 6, 1934 in Anadarko, OK. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2004. She was a lifelong resident of Plainview and was a member of First Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hodges; her parents, William & Mandy Maddox; two sons, Paul Arnald Hodges and Kenneth Lee Hodges; two daughters, June Ann Malone and Donna Gayle Hodges; one grandson, Kenneth Dale Hodges; one step great grandson, Bryce Dare; three brothers; and three sisters. Jearl is survived by one daughter, Tammy Schank & husband Terry of Plainview, TX; one granddaughter, Mandy Formby of Plainview, TX; and one sister Wanda Webster of Lubbock, TX.
