Jewel Hyatt (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas— Jewel Hyatt, 89, of Canyon formerly of Tulia, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2007 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in the First Baptist Church of Tulia with Rev. Charles Davenport, retired pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mrs. Hyatt was born on November 6, 1917 in Seminole, Texas. She married Audrey Hyatt on July 13, 1938. He preceded her in death on November 4, 1999 Survivors include two sons, Claud Hyatt of Clayton, New Mexico, Earl “Mike” Hyatt of Amarillo; one brother, Burt Elam of Olton, Texas; one granddaughter, Lynna Broyles of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; and one great great grandchild, Emma Jewel Broyles; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will greet family and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 from 10 a.m. until noon.
