Tulia, Texas--Fred Lee Barrow, 66, of Casa Grande, Arizona, formerly of Tulia died on Aug. 16, 2011, at his home in Casa Grande, Arizona. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, August 25, 2011 in the Central Church of Christ in Tulia. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mr. Barrow was born on March 19, 1945, in Texas and was a son of Maebelle and Leroy Barrow Sr. He served in the Army and worked as a nurse for 35 years. He received a degree in nursing from California Polytechnic State University and was chairman of a nursing association in Long Beach, Calif. He retired from VA Long Beach Medical Center. He enjoyed travel and was a chef. He also participated in an international adopt-a-child program. Survivors include four sisters: Anita Barrow and Joycelyn Watters of Fort Worth, Connie Willis of Casa Grande, AZ and Sharon Menson of Amarillo, four brothers: James R., Eddie D. and Gerald R. Barrow, all of Tulia and Sammie L. Barrow of Casa Grande, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Francis Collins, Bessie Irwin and Ruby D. Barrow, and two brothers: Adolphus and Leroy Barrow Jr.
