Ruby Ormsby (Plainview)

Kress, Texas--Ruby Ormsby, 85. passed away at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2005 at Colonial Baptist Church in Plainview with Rev. Robert Malcolm, pastor, officiating and Rev. Jay Simpson of Plainview, Texas assisting. Burial will follow in Kress Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. Mrs. Ormsby was born December 1, 1919 in Gainesville, Texas. She grew up in Edmonson and attended schools at Center Plains and graduated from Plainview High School in 1937. She attended the Valley View Church as a little girl. She married Thomas F. Ormsby on February 7, 1946 in Plainview. They attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Plainview for many years and later joined First United Methodist Church where she played the piano for the Hooten-Dean Sunday School class. She was a member of the Crochet Club of Kress. Survivors include: Her Husband: Thomas F.
