Robert Langston (Plainview)

Robert Langston, 76, of Plainview, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 7, 2011 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Tim Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Robert was born January 3, 1935 to Otto & Nellie Langston in Canyon, Texas. He married Jerry Roberts August 29, 1959 in Compton, California. Robert Served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a long time resident of Plainview. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otto & Nellie Langston; one brother, Troy Langston; and two sisters, Imogene Irene Walker and Gertrude Trotter. He is survived by his wife, Jerry “Bob” Langston of Plainview, TX; one daughter, Denise Schumacher & husband Dwain of Midland, TX; one son, Robert Norris “Bobby” & wife Nikki of Plainview, TX; two brothers, W.F. “Bill” Langston & wife Sue of Plainview, TX; and Donald Ray Langston & wife Delia of Grandbury, TX; one sister, Dorothy Richardson of Plainview, TX; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
