Albert H. Andrae (Plainview)

Albert H. Andrae, Jr., 84 of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at St. Alice Catholic Church in Plainview, with Rev. Patrick Maher officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A Rosary will be held on Monday evening at 7:00 P.M. in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Albert was born on December 4, 1926 in Winters, Texas to the late Albert H. Andrae, Sr, and Mary Simonizh Andrea. He grew up and attended schools there in Winters. He joined the U.S. Army and served during the last stages of WWII. He married Cecelia Haiduk August 10, 1949 in Panhandle, Texas. They moved to Plainview where they farmed for 60 years and raised their family. He was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church and where he was active for many years. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Disabled Veterans. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia; sister, Rosalee Jungman; and his parents. Survivors include his children, David Henry Andrae and wife Karen of Plainview, Rebecca Provan and husband Phil of Scurry, William Thomas Andrae and wife Lisa of Plainview, Terry Carroll Andrae and wife Angie of Plainview; one sister, Teresa Stennett of Plainview; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
