Jean Lee, 83, of Hale Center, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at her home. Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visistation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Jean was born on March 20, 1928 in Ballinger, Texas to the late Abner and Mary Davidson. She grew up in Ballinger and attended schools there. She married Irvin Lee on July 15, 1944 in Runnels County, Texas. They moved to Hale County in 1946. They farmed in the Halfway Community ever since. She was partners with her husband in the family farm, doing everthing from the bookkeeping to driving the tractors. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Irvin Lee; a brother, E. Wayne Davidson and her parents. She is survived by three daughters, Anna Laura Denison of Hale Center, Linda Jean Barton of Hale Center, Patricia Lynn Neel of Lubbock; one brother, Jim Davidson of Joshua, Texas; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
