Forrest Bitner (Plainview)

Forrest Bitner, 77. passed away at 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2005 at Prairie House Living Center. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2005 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Weiss, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mr. Bitner was born April 12, 1927 in Littlefield. He married Mary Jo Kirk, February 9, 1946 in Vernon. He had worked at Jarvis-Tull, Texas Farm Machinery and at Gebo’s as store manager. He was active in PTA and Boy Scouts and member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by, his wife Mary Bitner of Plainview; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Mike Gilbert of Lubbock; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Bonnie Bitner of Monterrey, Mexico; one brother, Gene Bitner of Amarillo; one sister, Birdia Howell of Plainview; three grandchildren, Jennifer Vitz of Lubbock, Jeremy Gilbert of Lubbock, Timothy Bitner of Monterrey, Mexico.
