Alice Phillips, 96, of Plainview, passed away at 6:15 A.M. Tuesday, July 17, 2007 in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Jesse Pinkerton and Mr. Gerald Bedwell officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Phillips was born on February 25, 1911 in Pontotoc, Oklahoma. She grew up in the Ada, Oklahoma area and attended schools there. She married Miller Phillips on Jan. 7, 1926 in Being, Oklahoma. They moved to Plainview, Texas in 1951. She was a homemaker and a member of the 11th and Amarillo Church of Christ. Her husband Miller Phillips preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1984. Survivors include three daughters, Audrey Taylor and husband Don of Plainview, Rosada Bridges and husband Loyd of Amarillo, Evelyn Broughton of Houston; four sons, Louis Phillips of Ballenger, Ned Phillips and wife Janice of Hale Center, Wayne Phillips and wife Marilyn of Wellington, Bobby Phillips of Branson, Missouri; one sister, Nadine Mulheim of Mangum, Oklahoma; 43 Grandchildren and many Great and Great Great Grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ollie Mae Ferguson, six brothers and three sisters. The family will have a visitation Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
