Sadie Keenum (Plainview)

Sadie Keenum, 92, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Prairie House Living Center. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cumbie, Texas with Terry Bryan of Klondike Baptist Church, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mrs. Keenum was born August 5, 1912 in Hopkins County, Texas, near Sulphur Springs. She grew up and went to schools in Hopkins County and married Augustus Newton Keenum, December 29, 1943 in Greenville. She moved to Plainview in 1946 and was a past member of Parkview Baptist Church in Plainview. She is survived by, one daughter, Joann Harold of Abilene; one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Brenda Keenum of Plainview; one Brother Walter Yates of Commerce; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren. The family will have a visitation for family and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
