Michael Stephens (Plainview)

Michael Stephens, 60, of Plainview, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 1, 2011 at College Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Graveside serices will be at 3:00 P.M. at Childress Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Michael was born on December 15, 1950 in Quanah, Texas to Bill and Laverne Stephens. He grew up in Pampa and graduated from Pampa High School in 1969. He attended West Texas State University in Canyon. He worked as a jeweler for almost 20 years for Corrigan’s Jewelry (Zales). He moved to Plainview in 2008, where he did odd jobs including working for his brother-in-law at Artway Tree Service. He was preceded in death by his parents. Michael is survived by one daughter, Joanna Paige King of Dallas, TX; one brother, Randy Stephens & wife Pam of Mansfield, TX; one sister, Deeda Carter & husband Wes of Plainview, TX; his stepmother, Bobbie Sue Walker of Lubbock, TX; and one step sister, Dana Wilson of Albuquerque, NM.
