Tulia, Texas—James (Pete) Hunt, 60, of Amarillo, died Friday, March 18, 2005 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 21, 2005 in the Kornerstone Chapel in Tulia with Rev. Joe Hunt of Wolfe City, Texas, officiating and Rev. Melvin Clinton of Turkey, Texas assisting. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia. He was born April 10, 1944 in Bailey, Texas. He attended schools at Leonard, Bailey, and Plainview, Texas. He moved to Plainview in 1958. He moved to Tulia in 1965 and worked for Taylor-Evans Seed Company for many years. He married Barbara Poe on April 15, 1978 in Plainview. He was a truck driver for a number of years. He had lived in Carlsbad, New Mexico for a number of years. He moved to Amarillo in 2000. Survivors include: His wife: Barbara Hunt of Amarillo, Texas 4 Daughters: Tammy Baxter of Dallas, Texas Barbara Snyder of Amarillo, Texas Rebecca Hunt of Silverton, Texas Laura Fouston of Hart, Texas 1 Son: James Hunt, III of Denver, Colorado 3 Brothers: Carol Hunt of Dallas, Texas Joe Hunt of Wolfe City, Texas Henry Hunt of Amarillo, Texas 2 Sisters: Ruby Hemphill of Lubbock, Texas Judy Cash of El Reno, Oklahoma His first wife: Katherine Sue Laurent of Dallas, Texas 7 Grandchildren: Amber Dawn Hunt, James Ronald Hunt, Patric Reed Snyder, James Matthew Snyder, William Joe Fouston, Quinton Jay Baxter, and Steven Lee Hunt Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Sunday, March 20, 2005 at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia. Memorials may be made to the Odyssey HealthCare of Amarillo, 1000 South Jefferson, Amarillo, Texas 79101
