Lindol B. Dyer, 63, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 5, 2011at First Baptist Church in Hale Center with Rev. Carrol Green officiating. Burial will follow in Hale Center Cemetery under the personal care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 4-6 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Lindol was born on November 29, 1948 in Hale Center to Lindol “Willie” and Jackie Dyer. He married Nancy Davis in 1971 in Lubbock, Texas. He grew up in Hale Center and graduated from Hale Center High School and attended Texas Tech University. Mr. Dyer was a Golf Pro in Hale Center. He worked in banking during college and worked in the banking industry for over 30 years in Lubbock, Hale Center, Tulia and in Colorado. Mr. Dyer also worked in the Insurance Industry for the last 10 years. He was a member of numerous Civic organizations. Lindol is survived by his wife, Nancy Dyer of Lubbock; one daughter: Tonya Thompson & husband Jack of Lubbock; two sons: Lane Dyer & wife Kassidy of Edmond, OK and Mark Dyer & wife Monica of Lubbock; one brother: Tommy Dyer of Hale Center; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren and bonus grandson: Justin Shelton of Amarillo.
