Elizabeth Dollar, 94, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in Plainview Memorial Park with Rev. Bruce Green officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Elizabeth was born on May 21, 1917 in Plainview to Wade William and Annie Elizabeth Kurfees. She married Clyde Wilburn “Red” Dollar. He preceded her in death on February 26, 1976. She graduated from Texas Women’s University and taught school until retiring in 1982. Mrs. Dollar was the last charter member of the Pink Ladies Hospital Auxilary. She was a member of several Bridge Clubs, Canasta Clubs, Delta Kappa Gamma and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Mrs. Dollar is survived by one daughter: Annice Duvall of San Benito; three sons: Forrest Dollar of Bandera, William “Bill” Dollar of Plainview and Kenny Dollar of Waco; daughter-in-law: Elaine Dollar of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, one sister and one grandson. The family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
