December 14, 2011 Tulia, Texas—Patsy Wells, 83, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at her home in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011 in the First Baptist Church Chapel with Rev. Jason Stone, pastor and Rev. Charles Davenport, former pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A family and friends visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Patsy was born Patsy Ruth Adams on August 27, 1928 in Burkett, Texas to Anderson and Claudia Gray Adams. She graduated from Reagan County High School at Big Lake, Texas and attended Texas Tech. She married Neil Wells on September 10, 1947 in Slaton. After their marriage they lived in Slaton. They moved to Olton in 1952 and to Tulia in 1965. She worked for the Tulia Junior High for 10 years, First National Bank for 5 years and Lakeview Producers Gin for 11 years. She was a bookkeeper and a secretary. She was a member of the First Baptist Church since 1965 and she taught Sunday school for several years. Her family includes her husband: Neil Wells of Tulia, two daughters: Charlotte Sharp and husband Ricky of Plano and Cassandra Wells of Lubbock, four granddaughters: Tamara Saunders and husband Iain of Phoenix, Arizona, Emily Benzing and husband Joe of Euless, Reyna Wells of Lubbock and Sarah Wells of Lubbock, a foster granddaughter: Arieana and four great grandchildren: Noor, Reed and Max Benzing of Euless and Connor Saunders of Phoenix.
