Bonnie Henderson (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Bonnie Henderson, 84, died Saturday, December 24, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in the Vigo Park Baptist Church with Mr. Randy Shrader and Mr. John Combs officiating. Burial will follow in Happy Cemetery in Happy under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Bonnie was born August 14, 1927 in Portales, NM to Richard and Margia Boyles. She grew up in Portales and attended schools there. Bonnie married Harold Henderson on June 22, 1943 in Portales. They moved to California in 1956 and to Tulia, TX in 1977. She was a homemaker. Mr. Henderson died April 21, 1998. She is survived by two daughters: Billie Hobbs of Happy, TX and Marilyn Sue Satterlee of Auburn, CA, four sons: Harold Henderson, Jr. of Chehalis, WA, Joe D. Henderson of Orange, CA, Ben E. Henderson of Henderson, NV and James E. Henderson of Santa Barbara, CA, three sisters: Marie Porter of Roswell, NM, Evelyn Combs of Portales, NM and Martha Holcomb of Buena Park, CA, 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, seven brothers: Johnny, Dick, Jim Ed, Clarence, Douglas, Butch and Charlie and seven sisters: Betty, Dorothy, Dixie, Bert, Charlotte, Margie Lee and Willie Mae.
