Mary Ann Lindsey (Plainview)

Mary Ann Lindsey, 59, of Plainview, passed away on December 29, 2011 in Lubbock. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Dr. Rick Shaw officiating. Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon, TX. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 5:30 P.M. Sunday, January 1, 2012 at the funeral home. Mary was born September 12, 1952 to Paul & Katherine Lindsey in Canyon. Her childhood was spent in Canyon where she attended grade school and graduated High School with honors. She graduated from Wayland Baptist College in 1971 and completed her Masters at West Texas University in 1981. She served as secretary to the president of Wayland for a few years before beginning her teaching career. For 28 years she loved and taught the children of College Hill Elementary. She retired in 2004 and began caring for her father. She is preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Lindsey; and one sister Bertha Lee Smotherman. She is survived by her father, Paul Lindsey of Plainview, TX; and one brother, Jim Lindsey & wife J’Vne of Canyon, TX and several nieces, nephew and cousins.
