Max Ramsey (Plainview)

Plainview, Texas--Max Ramsey, 72, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Plainview. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Gene Arrington officiating. Max was born August 28, 1939 in Plainview to Frank and Imogene Ramsey. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School. He worked for the Plainview Country Club and gave golf lessons. He moved to Houston and worked as the Assistant Golf Pro at Sharpstown Country Club. He later worked for Dunkin Donuts and at one of the newspapers in Houston. He moved back to Plainview in the early 1990’s. He started his own lawn care service and also was caregiver to his parents until their deaths. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law: Donna and Neal Burnett of Plainview, his brother and sister-in-law: Bill and Judy Ramsey of Houston and 37 nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
