Katherine Neill (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Katherine Neill, 95, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. James Sain and Rev. Eddy Helms officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Katherine was born January 10, 1917 in Bellview, NM to Charles and Mary Bainum. She married George Neill on October 4, 1936 in Portales. She moved to Tulia in 1943. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church and taught the Golden Circle Sunday school class for over 50 years. She is preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Mary Bainum, her husband: George Neill, one daughter: Joann Weavers, one grandson: Shane Neill and eleven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her brother: Delbert Bainum of Hereford, Texas, three sons: Jimmy Neill of Grapevine, Bobby Neill of Buffalo, Wyoming and Randy Neill and wife Sherry of Boys Ranch, one daughter: Bonnie Daniel and husband Kirk of Tulia, 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren.
