Beth Jackson (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Beth Jackson, 96, died on Friday, January 27, 2012 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Stone and Rev. Charles Davenport, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Minnie Elizabeth Boyd was born September 29, 1915 in Gatesville, Texas to Thomas and Julia Boyd. She married Ernest W. Jackson on January 20, 1936 in Gatesville. They moved to Tulia in 1947. She was a homemaker. She taught Sunday school for 45 years and was a current member of First Baptist Church in Tulia. She served with the American Cancer Society for 30 years. She enjoyed oil and china painting. Mr. Jackson died September 19, 2001. She is survived by her children: Barbara Philipp of Perryton, Herman Jackson of Corpus Christi, Judy Gentry of Ontario, CA, Betty Evans of Bay City and Don Jackson of Tulia, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Julia Boyd, her husband: Ernest Jackson, three brothers and one sister. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church 101 N.
