Funeral Services for Rudy "Monsta" Martinez, 30, of New Braunfels, Texas will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at New Life Church with Rev. Steve Martinez, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday evening at 6:30 P.M. in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Rudy passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 in Plainview. Rudy was born on June 9, 1981 in Plainview, Texas. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School. He enjoyed working on cars, and spending time with friends and family. He was always the life of the party and enjoyed making others laugh. Survivors include his two daughters, Angelica Breanna Pantoja of Plainview, Faith Marie Martinez of Midland; mother, Inez Hernandez of Plainview; four brothers, Oscar and Mario Martinez both of Americus, Georgia, Manuel Hernandez of Plainview, Matthew Cantu of Plainview; 5 sisters, Deborah Martinez of Amarillo, Dorcas Reyes of Americus, Georgia, Corina Espinosa, Krystal Cantu, and Esmeralda Cantu all of Plainview.
