Benito "Ben" Guerra (Plainview)

Benito “Ben” Guerra, 67, of Plainview passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 surrounded by his family. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A Rosary will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. Ben was born on September 6, 1944 in Edinburg, Texas to Epifiano “Pete” and Dionicia Guerra. He married Linda Maldonado on April 20, 1968 in Kress, Texas. He was a Machinist/ General Manager for Carlise Motor Machine in Plainview where he worked for 40 years. He then worked for Tucky’s Napa Auto Parts from 2006-2011. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Ben is survived his wife, Linda Guerra of Plainview; one son, Dion Guerra and wife Kendra of Plainview; one daughter, Corrina Guerra and fiancé Josh Scott of Plainview; four grandchildren, Elijah Trevino, Kinzlee Guerra K’Lee Roberts, Kelsee Mora of Plainview; brother, Lupe Guerra and wife Chilo of Balch Springs, Texas; three sisters, Clara Gomez and husband Lee of Austin, Gloria Gonzalez and husband Johnny of Plainview, Blanca Herron and husband Tobe of Lubbock; and multiple Nieces and Nephews. Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Epifiano and Dionicia Guerra; two sisters, Maria Christina Guerra, Viola Guerra Sanchez. The family suggests memorials in lieu of flowers be made to Area Community Hospice, 3109 Olton Road, Ste C, Plainview, Texas 79072.
