Viola Ferguson, 77, of Plainview passed away Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Plainview Healthcare. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 24, 2007 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Colquitt Nash, Area Community Hospice Chaplain officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Ferguson was born on August 24, 1929 in Gail, Texas. Her family moved back and forth from the Floydada Area to Arkansas while growing up. She married Ernest Ferguson on Feb. 20, 1946 in Olton. She was a homemaker. After the kids got older, she worked for a laundry service for several years. She then worked at the Spudnut Shop for 17 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernerst on April 15, 2003. She is survived by three daughters, Violet and Phil Borron of Plainview, Gayle and Buddy Bynum of Abilene, Wanda and Glenn Spradling of Jacksonville, North Carolina; a son, James and Terisa Ferguson of Plainview; two sisters, Lucetta Staatf of Shell Knob, Missouri, Ethel Ryan of Hico, Texas; 14 Grandchildren and 35 Great Grandchildren.
