Sarah Frances Harris (Plainview)

Sarah Frances Harris, 83, of Kress, passed away at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at Kress United Methodist Church with Rev. Rob Blum pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Kress Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Harris was born July 19, 1921 in Commerce. She married J. C. Harris, March 3, 1940 in Lockney and he preceded her in death, January 22, 2002. Mrs. Harris attended schools at Liberty and Plainview, and played basketball with both schools. After her marriage the Harris’s lived in Lockney for two years, and moved to Kress. In Kress they farmed “the Harris Farm” and sold produce just off of I 27. She was a member of the Kress United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Judy and Larry Fields of Graham, Tina and Dan Dipprey of Graham; three sons and daughters-in-law Jimmy and Kay Harris of Plainview, Charles and Beverly Harris of Trophy Club, Terry and Terri Harris of Amarillo; one sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Don Armour of Kopperl; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandson.
