Mike McCarty – Michael Maurice McCarty 55, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at 5:15 A.M. in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2005 at College Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Don Robertson pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. McCarty was born June 18, 1949 in Lubbock, Texas. He lived in Shallowater, Tx and moved to Edmonson in 1952. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1967 and from Amarillo Vocational College in 1969. Mr. McCarty worked in car dealerships in Plainview, Midland and Lubbock. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1991 and had dealerships for several years. Mr. McCarty also farmed and ranched at Geary, Ok. He was currently employed at Mercedes-Benz of Oklahoma City. He is survived by One daughter; Carey McCarty Self and her husband Mike of Lubbock, Two sons; Corey Michael McCarty of Keller, Tx and Justin Maurice McCarty of Ft. Worth, Tx, His mother; Mary McCarty of Edmonson, Tx, His fiancée; Micheline Carrier of Oklahoma City, Ok, One sister & Brother-in-law; Paula & Ricky Sisemore of Plainview,Tx, One Brother & Sister-in-law; Ron & Joan McCarty of Lubbock, Tx, and Two Grandchildren; Brooke McCarty and Austin Taylor McCarty, Three aunts; Helen & Mark Pair, Bonnie & Mel Gaston and Joyce & Bill McBride, One Uncle; J.D. & Patsy James, Nieces & Nephews; Kimberly & Joey Myrick and their children Andrew &Luke, Kristy & Kieth Bechtold and their son Justin, Juliann McCarty and Matthew & Melanie McCarty and their daughter Bethany Ann. He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice McCarty on Dec. 14, 2003; Four uncles; Glen James, Earl James, Jack James and Bennie James, One Aunt; Pauline Gandy.
