Wanda Moon, 64, of Amarillo passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at B.S.A Hospice in Amarillo. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Jim Ritter, pastor of Seth Ward Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Wanda was born on April 22, 1943 in Plainview, Texas. She grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School. She was a homemaker. After her kids got older, she and her sister owned and operated the Snip and Clip Dog Groomers in Plainview for 23 years. She was a member of the Cowboy Church in Amarillo. She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxillary, and she also worked with Special Olympics. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Moon; one daughter, Donna Thurman; two sons, Dale Wayne Thurman, Randy Thurman; a sister, Carolyn Rogers. She is survived by one grandchild, Aaron Thurman of Amarillo; two nieces, Kimberly Moore of Amarillo, Jeannie Segedy of Amarillo; Great Nieces and Nephews, Dustin Wood, Brandon Painter, Randee Segedy. The family suggests memorials B.S.A. Hospice or Harrington Cancer Center.
