Claudio "La Coyota" Guajardo (Plainview)

Claudio “La Coyota” Guajardo, 87, of Plainview passed away Monday, August 20, 2007 at Prairie House Living Center. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Raymundo Manriquez officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Guajardo was born on May 16, 1920 in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up there and also lived in South Texas for awhile. He moved to Plainview and worked at Excel for 26 years before retiring in the 1980’s. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He married Manuela Villalpando in 1952 in Plainview. He is survived by his wife Manuela Guajardo of Plainview; one daughter, Gloria Guajardo of Amarillo; two sons, Peter Guajardo of Abilene, TX, Willie Torres of Bridgeport, TX; three sisters, Julia Garcia of Houston, TX, Delores Garza of Houston, TX, Gregoria Guajardo of Roma, TX; his pride and joy, Melissa Plasencio; amd longtime family friend who he helped raise, Dora Flores of Uvalde, TX; and three Grandchildren. Rosary services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel and Friday, August 24, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.
